If you see someone littering from a vehicle, please go to the Texas Department of Transportation, Don't Mess with Texas, website with the following:

• date and time of incident
• location of incident
• make and/or model of the vehicle
• license number of the vehicle

TxDot will send a letter and a litter bag to the owner of the vehicle advising him/her that the vehicle was involved in littering and outlining the penalties for violating the litter laws.
