To get recycling bins in MUD 2, MUD 3 or MUD 6:
Call Waste Management at 1-800-800-5804. Tell them you are in Silverlake Brazoria County MUD 2, 3 or 6. They will deliver a recycling bin to you.
Recycling pick up is Fridays in all of these MUDS.
Items to be placed in the bin:
Plastic 1 and 2
Aluminum and steel cans
Paper, but no glossy paper (i.e. milk cartons)
Cardboard (no corrugated) that fits in the bin like cereal boxes, but those must be flattened out and plastic liner removed.

Is your recycling bin curbside each week?
Are you doing that “recycling thing”?
Help Keep Pearland Beautiful by filling
your bin each week and placing curbside on
your designated day. Questions about how
to start, call 281-652-1659.
Curbside pickup of yard trimmings
Effective August 1, 2000 the City of Pearland initiated a separate pickup of
yard trimmings. The trimmings are picked up by a separate truck on the
residents' second garbage day of the week and taken to a commercial facility for
composting. To participate, residents should place grass, leaves, flowers,
stalks, stems and trimmings in a translucent (semi clear) bag at curbside on
their collection day. The weight of the bag should not exceed 35 pounds. Tree
limbs and branches should be cut no longer than five feet in length and tied in
bundles no larger than 18 inches in diameter and no heavier than 50 pounds.
For a list of local vendors carrying clear plastic bags, call KPB at
281-652-1659.
In December and January of each year, Christmas trees are also collected for
this program. All decorations, tinsel and the stand should be removed from the
tree to prepare it for recycling.
